In the afternoon, we will go to one of the strongholds to enjoy an incredible panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fes. Overnight stay at the same Riad.

    Day 3FEZ – IFRANE – CEDER FOREST – SAHARA:

After breakfast, we leave Fes to explore the magnificent Middle Atlas Mountains. We will make a stop at the picturesque town of Ifrane, which has become known as the ‘Switzerland of Morocco’ due to its weather, architecture, and historical events. We will have a brief pause to roam about before continuing to the largest cedar forest in Morocco, next to the picturesque village of Azrou, where you will get the opportunity to witness Barbary Monkeys living in the wild. Following that, we continued driving over the highlands, passing through various Berber settlements such as Timhdit, Zaida, and Medilt.

Then we travel south over the High Atlas Mountains until we reach Errachidia, where the Valley of Palm Trees emerges, creating an oasis of greenery excellent for growing all types of fruit trees and vegetables. After a time, we arrive in Erfoud, the city of Fossils, where evidence of a past buried by the sea abounds. From here, the asphalt gives way to Saharan trails and adobe until we reach Merzouga, the major town in the Sahara Desert. Overnight in a hotel near the dunes, with dinner and breakfast.

    Day 4MERZOUGA SIGHTSEEING :

On this exciting day, we will go further into Erg Chebbi. We’ll go to Khamlia and see little towns and inhabited residences in unexpected areas far from civilization. In addition, we will meet nomads who are eager to share their way of life with guests. Our quest continues as we locate an ancient mine on the borders of Morocco and Algeria that was discovered by the French years ago. Then we return to town for a traditional Berber meal known as “Berber Pizza”.

Afternoon camel trekking; friendly camels guided by a man with many years of experience going up and down on sand with different stops to take pictures of landscapes and amazing sunsets, around 1H30 walking you get to the camp located in the heart of the desert where you will have your dinner and enjoy Berber music played by locals under a starry sky. You will wake up early in the morning to enjoy the wonderful sunrise view before returning to the hotel on your camel, where you will have breakfast and take a shower

    Day 5MERZOUGA – TODRA GORGE – DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE :

After breakfast, we travel to Rissani, an ancient Sijilmassa center of ancient caravans from Toumboukto to Marrakech as a salt market center. After roaming around the region’s largest market, we continue our journey through semi-desert terrain until we reach the oasis of Tinghir, one of Morocco’s most beautiful sites. Then we arrive at the tallest and narrowest canyons in the world, the Todra Gorges, which are popular among climbers. After lunch, we carry on to another spectacular Dades Valley and the city of Roses; the region where the genuine flower grows called Damskina, with a brief halt if you are interested in seeing how different products from Roses are extracted at one of the cooperatives there.

Then, we drive through a famous road known as the “road of Thousand Kasbahs” to reach one of the most important cities in southern Morocco, Ouarzazate, known for its intense and cinematic activity, having to its credit films like Gladiator, Troy, the Mummy, and others made in a large studio called Atlas Corporation Studios, which you can visit after we get to the hotel where we will spend the night with dinner and breakfast.

    Day 6OUARZAZATE – AIT BENHADDOU -MARRAKECH :

We continue our journey via the port of Morocco’s highest pass, Tzin Tichca (2,260 m), where we will stop for magnificent views and lunch before arriving in the imperial city of Marrakech. Spend the night at a riad.

    Day 7MARRAKECH CITY TOUR :

After breakfast, we go on a full-day tour of Marrakech with a native guide. The Almoravids and Saharan nomads created “the red city” in the eleventh century, which was named by the colour of its walls and was filled with gardens watered by subterranean wells (khettaras). On this day, we will unavoidably visit Menara, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia, Majorelle Gardens, and souks. Discovering the plaza of “Djemaa El Fna” where the city’s life and activity is concentrated: dancers, storytellers, jugglers, artists, merchants, and snake charmers will be an unforgettable experience.
