4 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech

The 4-day Fes to Marrakech desert journey begins with an early pick-up from the airport or your accommodations. Then we travel south through Imouzzer to Ifrane, which is famed for its low temperatures, snow, and alpine-style residences – little surprise it is known as Morocco’s Switzerland. Then we proceed to the cedar forest, which is home to the Barbary Macaques. You are welcome to feed them while exploring the forest. Later, we’ll make our way to Midelt for lunch. Then we drive via the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the Ziz River to the Sahara desert.
We arrive at Merzouga in the afternoon. Then, we switch to camels to cross the sandy desert. You will be brought to the top of a high dune to view the wonderful sunset. Then travel to the desert luxury camp, where you will dance around a bonfire under a large open sky of stars while listening to Berber drum music. Dinner and rest in the camp.

Wake up early in the morning is a must-do, to contemplate the beautiful sunrise, in the middle of the desert. Free time for breakfast. Then you return on camels to Merzouga, where the driver awaits. We dedicate the day to explore the region of Merzouga. The area has so many incredible sites, from sand dunes, wild lake, mines, fossils areas to fabulous oases. Which are ideal places for so many outdoor activities.

Firstly, we start our journey in Merzouga, by driving off-road to visit an ancient eyeliner mine. Then we pay the nomads a visit, in their handmade woven tent. Learn how they live while drinking Berber tea. Our next destination is the Khamlia village, where you will enjoy the Gnaoua music and dancing performances. Its inhabitants are originating from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan and Niger. Free time for lunch in a restaurant. After that, we take a stroll in a palm trees grove. Then drive a few kilometers to see the wild lake of Merzouga, also called Flamingos Lake. Dinner and overnight In a hotel.

The 3 Day of your tour to the desert, you leave to Rissani after a special night in the middle of sahara to explore the capital of tafilalet ,which is known for trade and its traditional souk.
We proceed to Erfoud after walking around Rissani to view one of the fossilised marble makers. Then we travel to the Todra Gorges via the Touroug and Tinjdad palm farms. The Todra River cut a vast canyon across the mountains, leaving behind high red cliff walls. Climbers will like these gorges. Feel free to explore the gorges and take in the scenery. Lunch at a restaurant is optional. We next proceed to the Dades valley, passing via Boumalne Dades. It’s difficult not to pause at the “monkey fingers” rock formation. And perched on a ridge with a 360-degree view of the Dades Valley. Finally, dinner and an overnight stay in Dades.

On the final day of your four-day desert vacation from Fes, we go to Kalaa Magouna to see the Rose Valley. In May, there is a Rose Festival. Where locals sell rose items such as fragrances, rose water, oil, and cosmetics. We then travel through Skoura’s palm groves. Later, we arrive at Ouarzazate, commonly known as the Desert Gate.
